Internal Workshop on Labour Law in India

The workshop aimed at fostering the analysis of a newly enacted law; participants learnt the essentials of a comparative analysis between the previous labour laws and the currently formulated Labour Codes and were also able to identify the key changes and their implications. The workshop was designed for faculty who aspire to inculcate the practice of legislative analysis in the classroom; the principles achieving the broad idea of legislative analysis and a comparative insight based upon that was explored during the session. As per the feedback taken from the students and faculty, it has been observed that such kinds of activities can be very beneficial for the overall legal acumen of students. The students took part in the activity with a zealous attitude and made it an interactive session. A total of 30 students participated in the event. Principal, Dr. Minaxi Tomar and Convenors, Ms. Roli Pathak, Mr. Suhail Khan & Mr. Mukesh Pandey were present on the occasion. Overall, the response was satisfactory and encouraging.

To understand and conceptualise the legal implications of employer-employee relations by the medium of New Labour Codes. In a legislative analysis, thorough scrutiny of the essential provisions of law and the linkage with allied laws is of wide significance. The students should be able to understand the changes that have been put forth by the New Labour Codes and differentiate them from the previously existing labour law regime.
