Seminar On The Prevention Of Sexual Harassment (POSH)

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), organized an insightful seminar on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at the workplace, held on 23rd April 2025, starting from 12:00 PM onwards in Auditorium.The session was conducted by Ms. Seema Rajput Verma, a member of the UN Commission on Gender Equality who shared her extensive knowledge on creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment.Students from all departments participated and gained insights about the POSH.The seminar was wrapped up with a closing address by Ms. Smriti Agarwal, founder of femme forward who emphasized the importance of awareness, sensitivity, and proactive measures in ensuring a harassment-free workplace.

The event aimed to raise awareness about workplace safety, legal rights, and the mechanisms available under the POSH Act, 2013. The session focused on fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of gender. The seminar aimed to: • Educate participants about the POSH Act and its implications. • Empower individuals to recognize and report sexual harassment. • Encourage organizations to establish and maintain an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC). • Promote gender sensitivity and equality in the workplace.
