Objective

The 6th International Conference on Law and Technology – Ethics, Regulation and Innovation, held on 12–13 December 2025, was organized by IPEM Law Academy, Ghaziabad, in collaboration with Uttara University, Dhaka (Bangladesh) and RV University, Bengaluru, with the primary objective of fostering meaningful dialogue on the rapidly evolving relationship between law and emerging technologies. The conference aimed to critically examine the ethical, legal, and regulatory challenges posed by technological advancements such as artificial intelligence, digital governance, data protection, cybersecurity, and emerging digital platforms. A key objective was to provide an interdisciplinary platform for academicians, researchers, policymakers, legal practitioners, and industry experts from across the globe to exchange ideas, share research, and propose innovative legal frameworks capable of addressing technological disruptions. The conference sought to encourage comparative and international perspectives on regulatory mechanisms, emphasizing responsible innovation, human rights protection, and inclusive digital transformation. Another important objective was to promote scholarly research and capacity building among young researchers and students by engaging them in contemporary debates on technology-driven legal reforms. By bridging the gap between theory, policy, and practice, the conference aimed to contribute to the development of forward-looking legal responses that balance innovation with ethical responsibility and societal welfare in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Description

The 6th International Conference on Law and Technology: Ethics, Regulation, and Innovation, organized by IPEM Law Academy, Ghaziabad (UP) in collaboration with Uttara University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, and RV University, Bengaluru, concluded successfully with robust participation from both national and international delegates. The event commenced with an introduction to the IPEM Group of Institutions and an overview of the conference’s objectives and academic vision. This was followed by a traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and the formal inauguration of the conference. Dr. Purnima Chaudhary, HOD, Law Department, extended a warm Welcome Address, setting the tone for the day and emphasizing the significance of discussing ethics and regulation in technology.

The Inaugural Address was delivered by Prof. Victor A. Machekhin from The Indian Law Center, Moscow, Russia, who shared valuable insights on global legal developments and the role of technological innovation in shaping modern law.

The first Keynote Address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Gurujit Singh, Professor at GGSIP University, Delhi, highlighting the ethical challenges arising from rapid technological change. This was followed by Dr. Syed Sadiq, UN Women Representative in Kyrgyzstan, who discussed the intersection of technology, gender, and global policy.

Prof. Dr. Syeda Afroza Zerin, Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences, Uttara University, Bangladesh, presented her keynote on the social and ethical dimensions of technological adoption.

The Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) V.K. Ahuja, Director, Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, and Former Vice-Chancellor, Arunachal Pradesh National Law University, delivered an address emphasizing the evolving relationship between law, innovation, and institutional responsibility.

The Inaugural Session concluded with Closing Remarks by Dr. Shashank Chaudhary, Dean Academics, IPEM, who expressed appreciation to the distinguished guests and underscored the importance of the day’s academic sessions.

The conference then proceeded with Technical Sessions, where 51 researchers presented their papers, followed by insightful discussions and constructive feedback from expert session chairs.

The day concluded with the Valedictory Session, featuring a keynote address by Prof. Dr. Alok Verma, Dean, School of Law, RV University, Bengaluru, who emphasized that “This conference advances ethical, well-regulated technological innovation to build a safe, fair, and progressive digital society.”

Guest of Honor, Prof. (Dr.) Vageshwari Deswal, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, delivered an inspiring valedictory address reflecting on the depth and quality of the discussions during the conference.

The Best Paper Awards, along with cash prizes, were presented to the following contributors for their exceptional academic work:

Finally, a formal Vote of Thanks was delivered by Prof. Dr. Yogesh Kumar Gupta on behalf of the convenors and organizing team, expressing gratitude to all speakers, participants, institutions, and collaborators for making the conference a resounding success.

Overall, the conference provided a day full of enriching discussions, valuable research presentations, and global academic exchange. Heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of this international event!
