Alumni Guest Lecture on Fundamental Rights by Ms. Rashmi

IPEM Law Academy organized an alumni guest lecture on Fundamental Rights on 10th March 2023. The objective of the guest lecture was to raise awareness among students about fundamental rights. During the guest lecture, students learned about the individual rights that are common in most liberal democracies. These include equality before the law, freedom of speech and expression, freedom of association and peaceful assembly, freedom to practice religion, and the right to constitutional remedies through writs for the protection of civil rights.

Under the guidance of Ms. Rashmi (Advocate, District Court, Delhi), students have become interested in the Legal Corporate world. They are willing to pursue opportunities and apply what they learn from her lectures. They are also working towards building advanced skills to benefit their future. As per the feedback taken from the students and faculty, it has been observed that these kinds of Alumni Guest Lectures related to rights available to a citizen or non-citizen make the students aware of what they actually have(rights in existence). The Guest Lecture’s impact on Students motivates them to learn more effectively and form a different perspective on things. One professor cannot provide knowledge and guidance about everything, industry professional, advocate and subjects present varied perspectives. Overall, the output was positive.
