Outcomes and Objectives Achieved

The objective was to enable students to be aware of the application of laws in factual situations in real-life scenarios. The court proceedings should be taken into consideration while preparing for a career in the legal field and thus practical experiences are important for a student. The students were able to make the memorials on their own and learnt so much about authorities, the jurisdiction of a court, how to analyse laws and cases and the interpretation of law in particular circumstances. They also learnt to argue in a courtroom in front of judges and how to particularly adhere to court mannerisms. Students have confidence that they can speak in a manner that will be logically convincing and effective. They can participate in external Moot Court Competition more confidently.

Observations

First-year students of both LLB and BA LLB participated with confidence in this moot court competition.

Shortcomings

Due to hesitation, for a few participants, it was a little difficult to speak in English, but with the help of other team members, they could successfully present their case.
