Legal Aid Awareness Camp

On 21^st February 2023, IPEM Law Academy organized a Legal Aid Awareness Camp to aware the rural people about the law process and make them aware of their legal rights in Hussainpur Village. In this camp, Villagers were told about the various aspects of law including Women’s Rights, the Right to information, First Information Report, and Zero FIR. Around 50-60 people attended the camp. Some people came forward to seek legal counselling and discuss their issues. A legal aid Camp was organised at Hussainpur, Muradnagar Village with the help of Sri Sunil Tyagi where around 50 people visited the camp with their issues. The door-to-door survey was conducted under the subhead UBA. People were satisfied and motivated towards their legal rights, and they became aware of the complete legal procedure. The people were not aware of their rights and in the name of the law, they were exploited by the people. The legal aid camp was successfully organised but was lacking as more students were required the participation in the camp and students should be given a form of certification of participation for their effort. Legal aid was provided to them. As people are ignorant of their laws, legal sensitizing is a need of an hour. Our students went door to door for legal awareness. In the end, Law booklets were distributed. Few participants show up due to their strong disbelief in in-laws and Indian Judiciary.
