National Law Seminar On “Cyber Crime And Cyber Law: Emerging Threats And Remedial Measures”

Purpose and Objective:

The purpose of this National Seminar is to bring together legal experts, academicians, law enforcement agencies, and students to discuss the growing challenges posed by cyber crimes in today’s digital world. With rapid technological advancement, cyber threats have become more complex and widespread, demanding an urgent need for robust legal frameworks and effective enforcement mechanisms. This seminar aims to explore emerging trends in cyber crime, evaluate the effectiveness of existing cyber laws, and suggest practical remedial measures. It also seeks to raise awareness and encourage proactive dialogue to strengthen cyber security and promote a safer digital ecosystem for all.

Description:

National Seminar on “Cyber Crime and Cyber Law: Emerging Threats and Remedial Measures” organized by IPEM Law Academy, Ghaziabad was held in the auditorium of the Institute In Collaboration with Cyber Cell Ghaziabad, UP & Cyber Peace Foundation. The event started with lighting of the lamp and felicitation of the dignitaries. In the inaugural session, Prof. Dr. Sungdha Goyal (Executive Director IPEM Ghaziabad), Prof. Dr. Geeti Sharma (Director, IPEM Group) presented the welcome address while the Guest of Honour, Prof. Dr. Kiran Gupta (Professor, Law Centre-2, University of Delhi), delivered the inaugural address. Dr. Shashank Chaudhary, Dean Academic IPEM , delivered the closing remark of inaugural session of the programme. The highlight of the seminar was the panel discussion on “Cyber Law in the Age of AI and Automation: Redrawing Legal Boundaries” in which Shri Upendra Thakur (Advocate, Supreme Court) and Prof. Dr. Diwanshu Srivastava, Shri Santosh Tiwari (SHO, Cyber Crime Police Station, Ghaziabad), Advocate Anand Duggal and Prof. Dr. Meenakshi Chaturvedi shared their views. On this occasion, all the guests released the proceedings booklet of the seminar. More than 90 research papers were presented in the seminar from all over India. In the technical sessions, various researchers and students presented research papers on topics related to cyber crime and law. The technical sessions were chaired by Dr. Parul Gurudev, Dr. Zeeshan Hussain Hashmi, Dr. Shalini Agarwal, Dr. Anita and Dr. Divya Singh. Apart from this, a special workshop on “Cyber Security Law in Digital Age” was conducted by Dr. Parul Gurudev, in which the participants participated enthusiastically. The function concluded with the coordinator address of Dr. Purnima Chaudhary and vote of thanks by Prof. Dr. Yogesh Kumar Gupta. The best research papers were awarded and a group photo was also taken with all the participants and dignitaries. This event of IPEM is an important achievement for the students and researchers.
