The IPEM Law Academy Ghaziabad (NAAC Accredited) is organizing a National Webinar on “Centre-State Relations under Indian Constitution” on 20thJune, 2020 (Saturday). We, at IPEM believe in promoting learning and enriching the academic pursuits of our Students. Keeping this in mind, we invite distinguished academicians at regular intervals to share their insights through Workshops/Seminars/Faculty Development Programs/Guest Lectures etc from time to time.
The theme of the Webinar has been selected to view the relationship between Centre and State during the last seventy years of working Federal System provided under the Constitution. The Papers have been invited to seek views to make relationship more cordial and smooth especially when one Political party is in power in the Centre and the other in the State.
Research Papers are invited in Hindi/English on the Theme and following Sub-themes:-
i.) Nature and History of Federalism in India.
ii.) Reasons for making the Central Government strong as compared to States in India.
iii.) Distribution of Legislative, Administrative & Financial Powers in India.
iv.) Power of Union to deal with Extraordinary situations such as Emergency.
v.) Provisions in case of failure of Constitutional Machinery in State.
(vi.) Power of Parliament to legislate with respect to Matters in the State list
vii.) Power of Parliament for formation of new States and Alteration of Areas/Boundaries as well as Extinct the existing State.
